Best depth was 28 to 33 foot. I'd cast out, let it fall all the way to the bottom, reel in to create a semi-tight line, then drag the jig by sweeping the rod across my front from 3 to 9. Key to the presentation is ensuring the jig maintains bottom contact all the way back to the boat.
