TechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSummerStructureLaydownsIt’s been a good week on the “Chick”! Most fish came flipping lay downs early in the morning with a rage bug. I was able to pick a few up on the 6th sense Dogma walking it over submerged shallow grass. All in all it was a shallow game for me but the fishing was great so get out and give it a go and you might just land that PB!

TechniqueNeko RigsSeasonSummerStructureDocksPulling neko rigs past docks was an all day success for me. Temps were in the mid 80s with water temps around 75. Tried wacky rigs and shakyheads but the bass would strike the neko. I’m not sure if they wanted the larger worm profile instead of the shakyhead or if it was the retrieval speeds. Good day of fishing on a fantastic lake.

TechniqueDeep Diving Crankbaits (13'+)SeasonSummerStructureLedgesFishing parallel the ledge drops produced reaction strikes. Temps were in the low 80s, water temps around 75. The fish were staging on the ledges and weren’t biting wobble heads or bottom contact moving up hill. Switched to the medium to deep divers and pulled in some keepers.
