Numbers of fish were caught shallow, skipping wacky rigs around docks. Bigger fish came off of deeper weeds and rocks. I didn't see any fish on beds, but definitely was catching pre and post spawn fish. Fishing around pad stems was also productive.

Largemouth were piled up on wind blown points leading into spawning bays. Retrieving a bluegill colored chatterbait just over the top of submerged weeds in 6-8 feet produced the best results.

Caught all my fish shallow in 3-6 ft slow rolling with added pops in my retrieve with a chatter bait .

The bass were not hitting any moving baits. The cold weather that transitioned to warm next day pushed fish back out a little deeper. 6 to 8 feet produced bigger fish. Any visual targets. Wood specifically. Was a good target.

Crappie are spread out within the weeds anywhere from 3' to the weed edge. Tie on a 2" paddle tail swimbait and cover water. Plenty of eater size fish if you sort through them.

Brush Piles
Flipping submerged trees and brush along the shores holds many spawning female large mouths. Flipping a non pegged weight has given me the best luck due to the aggressive hook set needed in the thick brush. Thick reeds/grass will also house many of these fish.
