Claytor is still fishing tuff. However, if you can manage to get out on a day with cloud cover or rain like yesterday fishing is better. I was able to catch a good number yesterday but the size wasn’t great. The biggest fish ( 2.5 lbs ) came on a spook style bait. Most fish came on a megabass vision 110 jr.

Claytor is fishing tuff. You can get some bites on topwater and pitching around heavy cover. Like most lakes the bite is best during morning and evening. Also if you are able to go at night it can be productive.

Claytor fishing is still real tuff. I fished today 5 till dark and was able to catch a few. However, size wasn’t much. All fish came on a popper style bait. I would recommend playing with the speed of the retrieve . Most fish came on a very fast retrieve.
