Fish the reed islands that have a drop off from 2 to 3 feet to over 20 feet deep. Fish were coming up off the ledge hitting top water baits. Lots of 2 to 4 pound fish. Buzz Baits, Spooks and Whopper Ploppers all fired up the fish.

Lily Pads
Lots and lots of shallow fish! Stable overcast conditions allowed for bigger fish to cruise the shallows in search of food. Focus on emergent vegetation anywhere from 1-8 feet of water. Lilipads and reeds provide a great place to start, mats of dying curlyleaf are also a great place to look. Focus on irregularities in these places - little pockets, points, clumps, etc. Don't be afraid to work your frog slowly around these high percentage areas. Both popping and walking frogs worked well. Additionally there were some schools forming out deep, but the bigger fish had not pulled all the way out into those areas yet.
