TechniqueVertical Jigging Mid Depth (10-19')SeasonFallStructureSubmerged VegetationSpotting fish balls on sidescan and downscan. I found some sort of strange structure at 15’. Been pulling decent crappies out. It’s near the first point by the awesome house. I’d be happy to share location if I can figure out how. I took my kids with tonight. The pic shows a “sunfish” not a crappie, but it was in the same spot.

TechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationFound decent size largemouth bass in from of submerged vegetation and weed lines using a drop shot lure. I'd cast, let it drop for a few seconds and then work it in. I did try a topwater Whopper Plopper but nothing bit. Worms deeper in from of weeks was the best bet.

TechniqueCrappie Dock ShootingSeasonSummerStructureDocksDropping little jig heads with those small plastics. Picked up sunfish. No crappie though. Friends were using worms and did better, but most were very small but many swallowed their live bait so they kept them.

TechniqueMedium Diving Crankbaits (7'-12')SeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationFish are in their summer patterns. Few sporadic fish around docks, but the best bite was in grass edges and clumps in 8-12" of water. Casting 3/8oz Jigs w/ Menace Grubs trailers in green pumpkin and sunfish based colors. Backing that up with 1/8oz Jig worm tipped w/ similar colored Yum Dingers. Graph around, find the good grass edges & start mining for bites. When you get a bite, slow down and saturate that area.
