Largemouth BassTechniqueStructure JigsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureDocksThis outing was for Friday, 6/5/2026. Water temps were in the upper 70's with light wind out of the south, warm air temps in the 80's. Fished a little over 2 hours late afternoon. With the sunny skies I concentrated on docks and found them pretty good. Caught about 11 fish, with one around 5lbs, one around 4lbs, and several in the 2 to 3.5lb range, plus about 4 from 12 to 14 inches. Mostly skipped a jig under docks and they were in the shade for sure! Tried a bit of a frog with no luck. Overall a great little outing!

Wacky rig did not produce, however frog had some follows and two strikes. Panfish are still on beds but bass have moved off

Northern PikeTechniqueFinesse Hair JigsSeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationOut kayaking and landed a few nice pikes! The pikes are hiding in submerged vegetations ambushing preys such as bluegills and other bait fish. Lots of small hills and minnows were seen cruising around within the submerged vegetations. This is the best time to target pike and bass as the vegetations are not fully grown yet. The shore lines were holding large mouth and very fat sunnies still full of eggs. With the hot weather and rain in forecast, they fish should be making their beds and spawning soon. Used hair jigs (Firetiger pattern was key) and chatter style baits. Hair jigs were the ticket! Did lose a big hit on a chatter style bait. Did not see what it was, but it was heavy. Good luck out there!

Largemouth BassTechniqueHard Topwater (Prop)SeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationThrew the whopper plopper all around grasses and lilies. One pike hit it hard in about 2 feet of water. A bass tried to strike it in about the same place but missed. I also threw a wacky worm around docks with no luck,

Largemouth BassTechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureReedsThis day was clear/sunny weather. The wind was 5-12mph and water visibility was around 10ft. I started out catching fish using a topwater popper along the shade line/shore/docks. As the wind picked up I started using a Texas rigged stickbait (weightless) on docks and reed edges. This produced the better quality fish.
