TechniqueGrass JigsSeasonSummerStructureDocksThis report is for 8/30/2022. Weather was windy, mostly clear. Water conditions were choppy, and pretty dirty, but clear enough to see a jig. Caught about 7 fish in 3.5 hours, pretty good for this little lake. Caught 3 nice ones on a jig, and about 4 small ones on a frog in the slop/pads. Overall a great after work outing!

TechniqueGrass JigsSeasonSummerStructureDocksGrass around edge of lake showed signs of dying off so hard cover (docks) produced plenty of fish. Fish seemed to want the bait pretty far under docks.

TechniqueBobbersSeasonSummerStructureHumpsCrappies and panfish was feeding aggressively on small minnows. Finding humps and casting bobber with a berkley minnow were the ticket.

TechniqueBladed JigsSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationFound a point with a sharp drop off from 3-10 feet. Weeds were present and ripping the jackhammer through cause reaction bites. A mix of largemouth and pike were caught

TechniqueHard JerkbaitsSeasonFallStructureReedsThis lake can be really fickle at this time of the year. If you figure out the right presentations you can do decently. In the late Fall I will usually target the deepest reed patches that have some life still in them. Flip them and dissect them to the best of your ability. If that doesn't work, find some good offshore weedlines that are starting to die down and use a jerk bait to rip over the tops of the weeds that are left. Give yourself long pauses in-between your jerks and usually they will come out of the grass and smash on the pause. Ned rigs, can also prove to be good on the lake during a tough bite, but you need to really figure out where the fish are clumped up. Tight lines!

TechniqueFinesse Hair JigsSeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationOut kayaking and landed a few nice pikes! The pikes are hiding in submerged vegetations ambushing preys such as bluegills and other bait fish. Lots of small hills and minnows were seen cruising around within the submerged vegetations. This is the best time to target pike and bass as the vegetations are not fully grown yet. The shore lines were holding large mouth and very fat sunnies still full of eggs. With the hot weather and rain in forecast, they fish should be making their beds and spawning soon. Used hair jigs (Firetiger pattern was key) and chatter style baits. Hair jigs were the ticket! Did lose a big hit on a chatter style bait. Did not see what it was, but it was heavy. Good luck out there!

TechniqueHard Topwater (Prop)SeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationThrew the whopper plopper all around grasses and lilies. One pike hit it hard in about 2 feet of water. A bass tried to strike it in about the same place but missed. I also threw a wacky worm around docks with no luck,
