TechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonSummerStructureRip RapStarted around Chisolm Park with a Enticer worm in Junebug fishing the grass, reeds and pepper grass with no bites. Tossed a frog around and nothing. Worked down towards Fells Cove and got one with the Enticer about 1.75lbs. Then ran down to the canal leading to AJ Lake and started by the No Wake sign down to the bridge and picked up another 7, biggest at 4lbs, another just over 2lbs and the rest were in the 1.5 to 1.75lbs. range. Changed to the Yum Swim n Dinger in the watermelon/pearl color to catch all the other fish. Biggest one came from under the bridge, pretty good current flowing.

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationWent out of Lakefront Park past my usual spot and started outside the reeds throwing up into the reeds and fishing back through the pepper grass and had a couple bites but no hook ups. I then went behind the reeds and fished the grass along the shoreline in areas where normally couldn't get to with the water level low and picked up a few, pound- pound and a half. Stayed back there longer than I wanted to but got to fish areas that I've been trying to, caught 1 and lost a few when they wrapped me up in the reeds. Moved over to just past Chisholm Park and fished the pepper grass there and got another, just under 2lbs, pictured. All fish came on the Gambler worm in Gold Rush, no other color worked and I tried Junebug red before the sun came up, Houdini in the YamaSenko but no bites. Threw a rattle trap at the breaking fish along with a swimbait in perch color and the underspin, but nothing. On the last cast as I was putting the rods away, threw out the underspin just to get the line right before putting it away and caught another for a total of 5 in the boat.

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationHad to go out of Chisholm Park, Lakefront was closed, starting on the right just outside the canal from the ramp and got 2 on a Strike King Ocho worm 6.5 inch in Black with Blue flake from the reeds and pepper grass. Fished it until the pepper grass was no more and ran over to the canal leading to AJ Lake. Water was flowing pretty good towards Fells Cove, didn't get anything until I got to the bridge. Started on the right side between the rocks and the pilings, using a Ocho 5 inch Honey Candy color. Caught the biggest of the day, 3.19lbs pictured, and a couple others on the right before moving over to the left side where I had a couple pull drag more than the 3lber did that got off, but did get a couple more and even one from the middle of the bridge. Caught 6 total around the bridge in about 20 minutes before moving on towards AJ Lake but didn't get any in the boat. Total caught today 8, lost a few and missed a bunch.
