Largemouth BassTechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonSummerStructureReedsGot 14 in the boat today, biggest on the 2nd cast, pictured, at 1.97lbs on the worm just outside of the reeds. I also caught 3 on an underspin when they started chasing baitfish. Had 12 by 710 and then they seemed to quit biting. Took and went down into the canal leading to AJ Lake and got a couple more, one on underspin and one on the Gambler worm. Water was flowing pretty swift towards Fells Cove and they just turned off as well.

Went left out of Lakefront Park and fished along the reeds catching 6 in a area that led down to some houses and docks on the Gambler worm. Moved over near Boggy Creek and got a couple more, then went down into the canal and got 1 on the swim n dinger, and 3 more on a Yum Dinger in Mardi Gras color, all on the left side of the canal before the bridge from the start of the riprap. Biggest one caught close to the bridge, pictured, weighing 2.69lbs. Others were from 78lbs. up to 2lbs, most pound and a half.

Tried out some different locations today, still went left out of Lakefront Park but stopping well short of where I start fishing along the reeds with pepper grass in front of them and got a couple on the Gambler worm. After sun got up, I switched to a Yum Dinger in Mardi Gras and got a couple more. I then ran back to Ajay Lake and fished along the shore with reeds, lily pads and grass and got another. All were smallish, 1.25lbs to 2lbs, 5 in all. In Ajay, I had some big en's bite and run into the reeds or pads and get off before I could get to them, one of which looked like a 4 pounder. Water was flowing in the canal too fast to fish, so I went to the lake and found a new place, even if I got wrapped and lost a few

Caught 7 today fishing along the reeds near Chisholm Park. Fish were either up close to the reeds, pepper grass or on the drop off.

Got 4 today, 3 on the Gambler worm and the other on the Yamamoto. Went left out of Lakefront Park fishing new areas along the reeds and in pepper grass.

Went to the left out of Lakefront Park and fished along the reeds with pepper grass out from the edges of the reeds and got 6. They were biting as it hit the water in the reeds or as it cleared the grass.

I got 8 today and my friend got 3. We went left out of Lakefront Park and fished along the reeds in about 3 to 5 feet of water and got a few. We then went across the lake near Boggy Creek and fished along the reeds there and got some more including the biggest of the day at 3.54lbs, pictured. Wind picked up and we ran over into the canal leading to AJ Lake and fished the riprap before the bridge and just passed the bridge and got a few more. All my fish were caught on the Gambler worm and he caught his on a Yum Swim n Dinger in Black and Blue flake.

Put 5 in the boat today all in the pound to pound and a quarter range as the wind kept me from where I wanted to fish. All caught on the Gambler worm, they didn't hit the chatterbait or any other color worm. Lost 3 on the way to the boat and had a good one, 3lbs by the look of it, tie me up in the reeds and got off before I was able to get to it.
