Burned a bladed jig around the reed edges and got a couple bites before switching to a lipless and getting some reaction bites in deeper water

Fished around creek mouth and got a few blowups throwing a frog and fluke. Didn’t have much luck around the dam.

Caught one on a strike king ocho next to one of the bridge pilings. The fish definitely love the shade

Went around the lake looking for spots with wood and shade where fish could ambush prey. Most of the fish I caught were on the initial fall so be ready to set the hood after you cast. Usually I like to throw jig trailers with little action that glide but these fish like flappy trailers that move a lot of water

Got this one flipping around the outside edges of some reeds. The further away you are, you more bites you get since the fish are spooked easily.
