Moderately fast retrieve speed to keep the fluke off the bottom. 2.5ft leader was sufficient to get very lifelike movement out of the fluke. 4/0 hook did the job perfectly.

Went fishing at a little holding pond at Falls Lake and got absolutely crushed on both a Chatterbait and a Senko wacky rig. So much fun for a couple hours with my amazing daughter next to the water.

Fishing shallow in a small cove off of Falls Lake. The bass are just cruising the bank, but the bite was slow today. The fish were slurping the topwater baits off the surface instead of exploding out of the water. Caught 5 small bass in the hour I was able to get out, but unfortunately they were all pretty small.
