TechniqueFootball JigsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationThe day was hot and sunny so I decided to take the clients to deeper water about 25 feet and found a patch of isolated weeds with a few big largies lurking in them. This fish was caught on a jig and they managed to have a great day.

TechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium)SeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructurePointsSmallmouth were pushed up onto flatter points with wind blowing on them. Fishing the small single swimbait was the best way to cover water and get these fish to react. 6-10 feet was the best depth zone

Panfish / Bluegill
TechniqueBobbersSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationBluegills are starting to get on their beds in 7-12 feet. Using side imaging to find where they are located makes this process very easy. Pitch out a slip bobber with a small jig is the best way to catch these. We released all of our bluegills so more 10” fish can grow like the one showed!!!!

TechniqueTubesSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureBouldersSmallmouth are loaded up right now on transition areas from spawning to summer deep water. A tube was very effective slowly dragged on the bottom to entice them to bite. 6-10 feet seemed to be the best depth to catch them!
