The bite was tough but the small mouth were grouped up in large pods chasing minnows in 17-22 feet . Active target was key to chase the roaming suspended bass.

Caught smallmouth near scattered vegetation on drop edges in 9-12 ft of water with a Berkeley max scent flat worm in green pumpkin on a drop shot. Also had a few on a Duo Realis 80 spinbait in a perch color. 8lb fluorocarbon for the drop shot, 4 lb fluorocarbon for the spinbait.
