Working in 6-8 depths looking for the flowering tips of curly leaf pondweed. Pitch a Ned Rig into the clumps and let it sink to the bottom. And hold on! Caught large sunfish as well as 50+ bass post-spawn feeding voraciously!

Using a weedless wacky rig and Neko rigs on deeper docks. Some fish were under docks while others were pushed out in front and in between. 1-2.5 pounders were under docks but the bigger fish were laying in between. Ended up in 9th place in my derby with 13.6 for 5.

Water temp is 70 degrees with the weed lines now more defined. Casting parallel to the outside weed edge (10-14 feet deep) and rip it if stopped by weeds and hold on!

The bite on Gull Lake has been on absolute fire as of late, there isn't a wrong way to catch them at the moment but I've found the best fishing on the grass ledges anywhere from 8 - 16 ft. Seems like a large range, but when you get out on the lake and see how fast the drops are it makes sense. The weeds are less dense this year so I've found the bite to be better with worm profile baits.
