Heavy current and dirty water moved in and ruined the offshore bite. With color in the water and heavy current a trap is hard to beat, fish moved into protected flats with eel grass off the main river. The best areas were near spawning flats. Duckett's Trap is hard to beat on Guntersville because of how well it comes through shallow eel grass.
