But, heavy rain the day and night before the tournament dropped water temperatures by 4 degrees and rose lake levels by 3 feet. We expected to find bass moving towards the main lake to enjoy the summer; however, many bass moved towards the banks and into tight cover, where we fished swim jigs, spinnerbaits, and Texas-rigged Zoom brush hogs. We also caught a few on Zara Spooks over rocky main lake points before we transitioned to the banks.
