Got a few swirls on buzz bait early on, it no good bites. Picked up a couple off shallow wood with ozark rig stick bait. Best and most bites came on drop shot fished very slowly around main lake bridge piling.

Originally practiced for a club tournament on Kerr Lake and fished rocky and stump-filled secondary points in the upper end of the lake. But, heavy rain the day and night before the tournament dropped water temperatures by 4 degrees and rose lake levels by 3 feet. We expected to find bass moving towards the main lake to enjoy the summer; however, many bass moved towards the banks and into tight cover, where we fished swim jigs, spinnerbaits, and Texas-rigged Zoom brush hogs. We also caught a few on Zara Spooks over rocky main lake points before we transitioned to the banks.
