This is another small lake in northern Vilas county rich with quantity of both smallmouth and largemouth bass. The launch is a bit out of the way, but that just means the fishing pressure is that much lower. You are unlikely to find any trophies, but I caught 18 bass in 5 hours yesterday. Fish the ned rig for smallies in the deeper water off the rocks, and fish both smallies and largemouth using wacky on the weed/pad edges. The XZone bass candy color worked well for ned, and I used a mixture of XZone and Yum blue and nature colors for the wacky. No need for weedless here unless you plan to go into the floating vegetation.
