Those most willing to bite were post-spawn fish looking to regain some weight. With heavy clouds and drizzle, bass willingly hit topwaters (Megabass PopMax) early, but as that bite died, I had a lot of success on shakey heads with a variety of Zoom and Jackall soft plastics attached. Largemouth bit Trick Worms (black), finesse worms (red bug), Fish Doctors (green pumpkin), and Jackall Flick Shake worms (green pumpkin). Most bass were hanging loosely to docks, but I found a few roaming stump flats and rocky points in Sturgeons and Dukes Creeks.
