Fished the first day of the Toyota Series on Barkley Lake. Was 21st after day 1 and found most of my fish on lead in banks that were relating to wood cover and rock banks. Females seem to not made the push yet to spawn where I was at mostly buck bass. Had to fish really slow and be patient.

There is a big wave of spawners coming in. Find a bay with feeder creeks about 3/4 of the way back. Then flip the buck brush, willow trees and anything that has some cover. Hard bottom was a plus. If the sun is high try to put your bait in the shady part of the cover. If the bite doesn't come right away reel in and pitch to something else.
