      Decided to try something completely different and fished this lake without even knowing if there were any good bass there. The morning started with a decent breeze and I was throwing a jack hammer in the submerged weeds. It took a while but eventually caught a chubby 16” bass. That got my hopes up. Fished a shoreline that was a little out of the wind and threw a buzz bait to the shore and worked it over the open spots of the topped out weeds. Managed to catch a few really nice ones. All were close to 18” and FAT. Then fished the wind blown side and caught a few more pulling the jack hammer through submerged weeds again. Was fishing in about 5 to 10 foot of water, outside the thick weeds. Pretty good lake for quality, not so much quantity.
