Walleye
TechniqueTrolling Deep (20'+)SeasonSummerStructureBaitfishSuper sunny day here on the Eastern Basin of Lake Erie. Went after a school of walleye that can be found from 38’ to 48’ munching on suspended bait fish. You would think your fish finder is broken out here! Without the Berkley Hit Stick 13, I don’t think we would have had a 2 man limit in under an hour! Absolute mayhem out here! Try ‘em out!

TechniqueDamiki RigSeasonSummerStructureOpen Water/BasinWent out to fish Lake Erie on a very smoky day (thanks Canada). Ended up targeting isolated fish on my Lowrance 2D sonar with dropping a Z-Man Jerk Shadz in smelt color on their head with a 3/8oz smeltinator jig head. Having the longer rod like my 7'10 Victory rod made the technique a lot easier with getting the bait further out away from the boat with how much visibility there was in the water that day. I was fishing 40 feet of water, and having fish shoot up and eating the bait when it was just 20 feet down. Super fun bite to get on when they want it, highly recommend it.
