If you are looking for hood panfish action, look no further than this awesome lake! Great and east shore access. Bring a pair of waders, or if you don’t mind getting a little wet, wet wait the shore lines. Bluegills from 4-9” are in their beds right now and are actively biting anything that drops into the water. Use a 3/8” thill pencil bobber with a long shank Aberdeen size 8 hook with crawlers and you’ll have plenty of action all day. Remember to be selective and release the big girls. Catch Photo Release. Caught green sun fish, pumpkin seeds and bluegills. Lots of baitfish swimming around the shorelines. If you want great fly fishing action, use a small light colored poppers and cast away with a 1-3wt fly rod. Plenty of action and it is way cooler than bass on top water. It’s fun watching the gills hit your popper as they come almost cleanly out of the water! So cool to see! I would recommend some fly fishing poppers Get out there and have some fun!
