TechniqueWacky RigsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureDocksLate spring, water temps in low 70’s. Couple guys in our group found mixed bags out deep, but we didn’t find them deep so focused on slowly picking apart docks and any shallow structure around shore. Wacky rig was for sure the go to, but also found success flipping a jig. Key was being slow and really letting the bait soak.

TechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureLedgesCurrently all of Koronis is covered with starry stonewart (aquatic vegetation) from 0ft out to 8 or 10ft. It grows about halfway up the water column in most places. You can find fish relating to the top edge of that weed, but I had better success fishing dropoffs or ledges in 12-14ft. Presence of rock or gravel is the key for smallmouth, but you will find a lot of largemouth and walleyes mixed in as well.

TechniqueHard Topwater (Walking)SeasonSummerStructurePointsFished a tournament out here and got 4th with 20.81. Caught a lot on topwater but some on dropshots as well. There are lots of big fish in this lake. TIGHT LINES!

TechniqueBladed JigsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationMost of our fish came on chatterbaits or swim jigs through the grass up shallow. Texas rigged Rage Bug got us a few fish around docks but moving bait was the key today for sure.
