TechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureLedgesCurrently all of Koronis is covered with starry stonewart (aquatic vegetation) from 0ft out to 8 or 10ft. It grows about halfway up the water column in most places. You can find fish relating to the top edge of that weed, but I had better success fishing dropoffs or ledges in 12-14ft. Presence of rock or gravel is the key for smallmouth, but you will find a lot of largemouth and walleyes mixed in as well.

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSummerStructurePointsIt’s been a windy year! This day, a week ago from the post of this report, wind was up to 20 mph. White caps and probably up to 2 foot rollers fishing out of a Hobie kayak, made for rough fishing. Did manage to hook into this 19.25” smallie finesse fishing a Googan Bandito Bug Texas rigged with 5/0 EWG hooks. This is a big lake for kayaks, so look at your Navi maps and find the points, find the ledges and find the fish. Only small bass found around docks, so gotta fish more points and ledges if you want trophy fish. Other fish came off of spinner baits and vibrating blades jigs. Get out there and explore the lake, lots of fish everywhere on the graph. Good luck and tight lines! -Wild Urban Adventures

TechniqueLarge Hair Jigs (Preacher)SeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationThe fish are schooling off main lake points and deep grass edges. Large numbers of smaller fish can be caught throwing cranks that run in the 6-10' range. However, the bigger fish can be caught on large hair jigs fished along those same deeper grass edges.
