You may even catch the occasional smally or trout. Most fish were caught in the lower part of the impoundment were there is deeper water. Be careful the lake is still full of sediment from the Dam removal at Willow River state park. So navigation can be tricky.

water temp was 58-59, bright sunny day so muted colors for the jerk bait. pretty shallow, best to find drop offs near the rock

Cast and retrieve very slowly along the old bridge starlings throughout the lake, letting the bait bounce off of the bottom. The Gobius is very tough to hang-up. This technique also produced a few largemouth.
