Fished a wacky senko on the docks in between ramps, picked a few good ones that way too. Water started at 58 degrees in the morning ended up at 64 by end of day.

Because of the herring spawn, big largemouth will pull out of coves and onto shallow points, saddles, and hard-bottom main lake banks. Target these fish with a topwater, swimbait, or in this case a jerkbait.

Bass are on beds at lake Murray. Cruise the bank and look for spawners that can easily be caught with the new Gilly from Berkeley.

The striper are schooling hard on blue backs. It’s only going to get better as we progress into late April early may with the herring spawn approaching

Post spawn- early summer fish a crankbait on the humps that come up shallow. Everyone else will be throwing topwater but the crankbait will catch just as many if not more.

Caught good numbers of fish in bank grass around the sides and backs of pockets on a swim jig. I was throwing the fluke more so on long main lake points to catch a few better quality fish in the afternoons
