Tough bite for 4days... Been a hot summer. Night time is a good way to beat the heat.

Boulders
Today I was fishing over a shallow flat where there are boulders all over the place. This area is really good to throw a glide bait because all the bass are hiding around the boulders and throwing a glide bait over the top of them gives them time to come up and ambush it. Today I chose to throw the river 2 sea S waver 120 in the light trout color because they can see this color a mile away. This bait isn’t too big or heavy so I can throw this on a regular bass rod. I was throwing it on a mh st croix mojo casting rod with a shimano slx. I had 30lb braid with a 15lb floro leader with a snap. Using a snap in a glide bait allows the bait to glide side to side more freely. The way I was working this bait was really slow. When I went over a pile of boulders I would slow down and let the bait sit there over the top to allow the fish to come out and eat it. The areas I was fishing were all less than 5ft deep.
