Bass fishing has been good here at Lake of the Ozarks. The brush pile bite continues to produce with the Crock-O-Gator COG worm on a light Texas rig doing most of the damage. I am using a 4/0 hook and a 3/8oz worm weight targeting brush between 10 and 20ft. There is also a shallow dock bite starting to develop up some of the river arms. Here I am using a 1/2oz Zapper jig in black/blue targeting docks in less than 10ft.

Over the past 3-4 weeks, the bass at Lake of the Ozarks have transitioned into a late summer pattern. I am catching quality fish around brush piles at depths of 12-18ft using jigs and Texas rigged worms. Some of the baits that are working are the 1/2 oz Crock-O-Gator Zapper jig, the Crock-O-Gator COG worm, and the Zoom Ole Monster. On my Texas rigs I prefer a lighter weight, 5/16 or 3/8oz. This will help it come through the cover.
