What ever edge is having wind blown into it I’ve been fishing. Bite has been consistent so far this summer. It’s taken perfect casting. Parallel and across points in the grass.

Downsize your bait to 3" or even smaller if possible. They were chasing the smaller baits, but anything over 3.75" didn't get any attention. Another outing with the Shimano Mastiff line. I'm really enjoying the castability and versatility of this line. The 16lb line performed well on light gear, though I would recommend going with the 8lb instead!

Caught a small bass on a chartreuse crankbait. Switched up to the River2Sea wakebait and caught a 2.75 pounder between the grass patches. Drought is so bad you have to cast carefully or else you'll get snagged in grass and ruin your presentation. Bass bit this one hard and fast. Thought it was a big one considering the blow up and fight, but still a respectable fish. Topwater rules!
