Downsize your bait to 3" or even smaller if possible. They were chasing the smaller baits, but anything over 3.75" didn't get any attention. Another outing with the Shimano Mastiff line. I'm really enjoying the castability and versatility of this line. The 16lb line performed well on light gear, though I would recommend going with the 8lb instead!

What ever edge is having wind blown into it I’ve been fishing. Bite has been consistent so far this summer. It’s taken perfect casting. Parallel and across points in the grass.

15-20 ft there are hard spots. You will see it on down image. There are specific drifts ill take and drag that rig as long as i feel the tick on bottom. Soon you feel a tug and fish on. All year long pattern. From 1-6lb ive caught doing that. I use regular fattyz the most. In all pumpkin and watermelons.
