Cast over the beds and very your retrieve and hold on the chatter bait drives them crazy. Tie a 5 ft piece of mono to your braid mainline and check every once in a while for nicks in your line. There was no wind on the Saturday of the fishing opener. The walleyes weren't cooperating, so we went shallow. The rushes were not up yet, but we fished the areas where the rushes were growing and did very well!

Pitched to coon tail clumps in 11-12 FOW. Humminbird 360 was key to seeing clumps and making accurate casts. Daughter caught her PB - 4.02# after just learning to pitch with a bait caster.
