There was no wind on the Saturday of the fishing opener. The walleyes weren't cooperating, so we went shallow. The rushes were not up yet, but we fished the areas where the rushes were growing and did very well!

Cast over the beds and very your retrieve and hold on the chatter bait drives them crazy. Tie a 5 ft piece of mono to your braid mainline and check every once in a while for nicks in your line.
