Largemouth BassTechniqueSpinnerbaitsSeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureBrush PilesWater temps hovering just over 50 degrees and air temps around the same, we were fishing during the eclipse at the Lake St Clair Metropark Marsh and got on double digit catches, throwing spinner baits in white and white/chartreuse on the Abu Garcia Jordan Lee Baitcasting combo. Retrieve methods was slow to medium but the bass are becoming less lethargic and are willing to chase. Tandem blades were KEY!

Smallmouth BassTechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium)SeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureRock Pile4/10/21 Fish were holding tight to the bottom, in rocky flats in about 10-14 ft of water. Water temps were 48-49 degrees in the main body on the west side, water clarity was 5-6 ft with overcast skies and wind at 5-8mph. Most of our fish were caught on soft bodied swimbaits, they produced all day. The jerkbait bite was on fire late morning to mid afternoon and then just shut off. If you could find the rocks, you were finding fish. Bounce swimbaits along the bottom and move slow, jerkbaits were producing on the pause sometimes for up to 10 seconds. We landed 50 fish using these techniques. Always a great day on LSC.
