It's that short time of the year when walleye stage on shoreline ledges feeding on baitfish. Trolling leadcore line line with Berkley Flicker Shad crankbaits has been effective recently. Spool out enough line (approx 130 ft) to make the bait bounce off a 20 ft bottom. Weave out to deeper depths to suspend the bait and then weave back in to make it hit bottom again. Often at those transitions is when a hungry walleye will hit the bait! Water temps 65-69
