TechniqueSwim JigsSeasonSummerStructureBrush PilesAug 19, 2022, water temp mid 80’s with stained water in the creeks and clearer in the main lake. Very early mornings and evenings/night bites have been best. Magnum worms and big jigs(swim bait or crawl trailer) fished in lay downs and brush piles have produced big bites in recent weeks. Ripping the jig off the bottom and through the brush has produced consistent 5lb’ers.

TechniqueHard Topwater (Walking)SeasonFallStructureLaydownsIn my opinion this is one of the prettiest lakes in Ga. Right now the bass are very active in early mornings and late evenings making the top water bite phenomenal!

TechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Large)SeasonFallStructureShadFish the magdraft around shad baitballs and try to match the size and color of the bait to the actual shad as closely as possible. Fish it below the baitball the biggest bass will sit under the baitball. So they can eat all the dead or wounded shad that fall to the bottom. The smarter bigger bass do not want to waste energy and calories so they will just wait for dead/wonded bait to come to them. The bass really do understand how to work smarter not harder!
