Fishing tournament today out of Lakefront Park, started out around Paradise Island across from Shingle Creek working around the back side with the new Bio bait worm from BASS PRO in Green pumpkin with blue flake. 3rd cast got a 2.95lbs, few casts later got a.72lbs. Moved around on the back side of island but had no luck. Went back to the side across from Shingle Creek and got another small one and noticed that they were breaking the surface chasing minnows, so I threw out towards Shingle Creek and got the big one, 5.6lbs, pictured. Got 3 more and made 2 culls, .72 for a 2.05 and.91 for a 1.14lbs. 5 fish total for today was 12lbs 10 ounces.

This pickerel struck my powerbait minnow in shiner color about 1 foot down. I was running it near the edge of hydrilla floating over submerged grass. I think he was waiting in the gap between the two vegetation types. I was running the bait on a 3/8 oz jig.
