Smallmouth BassTechniqueNed RigsSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureDocksROUGH day of fishing 05/30/22 on Lake Washington. wacky rig wasn't doing it so had to go back to ol' reliable and sure enough caught one within the next 1-2 casts underneath the dock that i had been working for a bit. THIS IS A MUST IF YOU'RE NEW TO BASS FISHING. it's meant for numbers, not size, and a solid boost of morale.

Smallmouth BassTechniqueLipless CrankbaitsSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationFishing from the bank at a local park, the online app says water is at 62, I think it’s colder. The fish are in 6-8 foot of water near shore, chasing perch, I had been getting lick on the Whopper plopper, but switched to a blade bait when it slowed. Was pulling this above and through the submerged grass, yo-yo style, and he hit it on the fall.

Largemouth BassTechniqueWacky RigsSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureDocksMy usual go-to. Caught in the first cast! Really only good for one fish or two so I packed up after 15 min of casting and called it good. 6’8 M-XF Spinning rod for precision and quick hook setting speed. 12lb braid to 8lb fluoro. Go lighter on braid and fluoro (10lb to 6lb) if you are fishing waters with more visibility and less structure to get snagged on.

Smallmouth BassTechniqueNed RigsSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureDocksSkipping under docks and pitching between boat lifts. Action was consistent all morning. Lots of Rock Bass but the TRD elastic holds up great! The further back you can skip the better. Fish were aggressive! They would even hit on the reel back in so go slowly when reeling back.

Smallmouth BassTechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationI feel like I’m beating a dead horse here, but submerged grass is a key, from the bank, 6-8 feet of water. No weight, just the senko and a size 3/0
