Walleye
TechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium)SeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructurePointsI set up on the last hump of a large point in 12' of water. I used a purple bicolored plastic paddle tail. I'm a fan of Kalin's Tickle Shad with a hot pink VMC moon eye jig. 3/8 and 1/4 ounce both worked well. Cast, let it fall to bottom and then use a quick snap and slow crank retrieve! I was catching Walleye and White Bass on this lure and method. Very fun way to walleye fish! Had my limit and more in 3 hours just past noon!

Yellow Perch
TechniqueBobbersSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureReefI was slip bobber fishing the vmc hammer head 1/4 oz jigs with fat heads and rosies and a drop shot with crawlers. I set up in 6-10 feet water on the reefs looking for walleye and it appears they may have moved off the reefs because I was only finding perch, a crappie and sheepheads. Minnows were hot compared to my crawlers. I did see a ton of boats trolling for those walleyes, which is why I didn't, it was a bit chaotic. Plus I love perch as much as walleye!
