With higher water due to the recent rains, I was able to fish closer to shore and found active bass in areas that had submerged vegetation that intersected the docks. With the recent hot weather, the weed growth has become more pronounced and provides additional cover for baitfish.

Methodically pitched Ozark Rig=Rage Bug combo in holes along the weed edges. It was easy to fish too fast and miss fish. Also caught northern pike and smallmouth along the outside edges.

Fished docks and boat lits posts and along concrete sea walls. Also skipped a homemade 3/8 oz jig tipped with Zoom Z Craw Jr.

Walleyes have finished spawning and are returning to the lake. They have been showing up along the shoreline and I'm finding them in similar areas I'm catching bass this time of year.
