I use the tingler spoon without the hook and tie it about 18 inches above my tungsten jig. The spoon calls them in and the jig seals the deal.

Spring time it's very important to cover lots of water. Looking for warm water and healthy weeds and bait fish. Leech is a very big lake, so picking a bay and sticking to the bay will help. Find the key areas, reeds, sand and weeds mixed, or hard banks. I like to cover water with a swim jig or a buzz bait. When you locate some fish, I will slow down and throw a senko or some kind of worm. The key is to always be looking for fish and really pay attention to where you find them. Leech patterns very well

Burning a frog across the matted rice can produce good numbers of fish with some quality mixed in. Working the frog fast allows you to cover lots of water. If a fish misses the frog, follow up with a light jig, they should commit.

Tried swimbaits, hardbaits, and more, (no live bait in the boat) and the only thing to get bit was a ned rig. Good fishing until about noon. Stayed on them, just struggled to get bites.
