Found a pile of walleyes on livescope up on the sand flats in 11-14 feet, but had to dangle a leech in front of their faces to get them to eat. They didn't care about any other baits falling right in front of their faces. Slip bobbers and live bait would've worked well too.

We fished jigs and rigs in 9-11’ feet of water. We tipped the jigs with shiners and leeches. We used leeches on the Lindy rigs with 4-5’ leaders. Looked for sand to weeds or sand to gravel transitions and slowly trolled them behind the boat at 0.5-0.6 mph. Caught lots of nice perch too!

Opening Weekend brought great weather but slow fishing. High sun, and no wind meant the fish were deep. Casting jigs far from the bought and dragging them slowly on the drift brought success in 12-14 feet of water. All fish came on shiners, tried leeches also with no success.

Tried swimbaits, hardbaits, and more, (no live bait in the boat) and the only thing to get bit was a ned rig. Good fishing until about noon. Stayed on them, just struggled to get bites.
