Shad spawn was happening and about every seawall had bait pushed up with the bass feeding up shallow. The shad spawn bite was prolonged due to low-light conditions. Once the sun popped out, A jig/ Neko were the ultimate players to pick up quality spots/ largemouth from brush and docks.

Fished a 3 fish tournament at Lake Martin today. Caught over 30 fish but couldn’t find any 2+ pounders. Caught fish doing a little bit of everything but most came off of main lake and secondary points on a shakey head.

Slow retrieve keeping in contact with the bottom and occasionally popping it off the bottom. Largest spot for the day was about 3lbs and a 4lb striper.
