Most fish were caught in 10-14' near the weed edges in these humps. Faster presentation and movement was key to enticing bites.

Fishing different forms of Ned-style craws produced bites when they were dragged/hopped relatively quickly from deep to shallow up the steep sides of humps around Lakeport Shoal. Finding keeper-sized fish was difficult in these areas, but a mix of shorts and keepers led to a good day overall and a couple decent walleye fillets.

I think the trick was finding the right type of grass near rock piles, humps, and shoals and dragging a bait as slow as you could. I also got bit on a Carolina rig.
