With the locks wide open the smallmouth were on any main river or secondary rock

Fishing in the backwaters around moderate to heavy vegetation with a frog produced a lot of nice largemouth. Flipping around the grass edges also got a lot of bites and nice largemouth.

Was catching them up the black river in the breaks of the floating docks, just pulling it through some rock and they seemed to be there. They seemed to be on the rip-rap banks. Nothing simple other than just dragging a worm. Also was a morning bite, everything seemed to die by about 9:00.
