Found walleyes, perch and largemouth in the backwater channels with current in outside bends and channel swing banks. Key seemed to be the bends with just a little deeper water and was even better with wood present. Most were in 3-6 feet of water. Either a small swimbait or ringworm on an 1/8th oz jig hopped along the bottom. Color really seemed to matter as white or something that was mostly white got bites almost 10-1 compared to other colors we tried. Caught a few bonus smallmouth and channel catfish as well. Great multi-species day.

Water is still very low and muddy. Water temps were in the low to mid 70's. Smallmouth were about the only thing biting around the Lansing bridge area. Largemouth were found randomly but the smallmouth were on rock piles and laydowns along the channel and secondary channels. Lots of really small are biting but the occasional 15" smallie can be found. Throw a neg rig shallow and drag it along the rocks. A Texas rig along the rocks and in laydowns will also produce if there is current. The bass are chasing baitfish so a fluke will also work.
