I just pitched the maxscent craw into trees and caught some dinks it was relatively fast bite but sometimes you had to pop it to get them to bite

Powers is still coming into season. The vegetation has not come in yet, the fish are still coming up to shallower water to find bedding grounds. The northeast corner of the lake has prime bedding areas and I expect to see them light up soon.

As such, we found great success dropshotting into the nearby areas and at drop off points. So much that I even ended up with a northern biting into the drop shot rig! As the sun began to set and created shade along the lake, we swapped over to pitching shaky heads along the weedy coastline to finish the day with a few more bass before heading out.

Caught a little dink but was the last fish of the morning. What I did was just walk and cast until I found a good spot to stay at for a couple of minutes. That bass I caught on the video followed it up toward me.
