Spotted BassTechniqueMedium Diving Crankbaits (7'-12')SeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructurePointsWith water in the low 50s, the fish are coming out of their winter haunts and starting to make that move to their pre-spawn staging areas. Fish are being caught all over the lake with a DT10 and a 1/2 ball head jig are catching some better fish. Key areas to look for are red clay points with rock on them. Don’t be afraid to throw that DT10 up shallow and work it slow back to the boat.

Largemouth BassTechniqueMedium Diving Crankbaits (7'-12')SeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureRip RapSlow crank the rip rap. Be methodical with it and be sure you make multiple cast to the same spot. The bends of the rip rap tend to have more fish on them, but don’t be afraid to fish it all the way to the back of the rip rap. If the crank air doesn’t work, be sure to go back and follow with a Shakey head. This is catching good fish as well.
