There weren't any bass on the spawning beds yet and the deep fish weren't in the mood to bite. The best method was tossing jerk baits toward brush piles in 4 to 6 feet of water. The Wisconsin DNR dropped a lot of brush piles around the shoreline of the lake.

The fish that were not on beds were on a secondary weed line in about 4' where the elodea transitions to grass.
