TechniqueMedium Diving Crankbaits (7'-12')SeasonFallStructureRock PileWent out yesterday in the rain to try and find some smallmouth. We had a huge cold front the night before, so I figured they would be harder to catch. Threw a crankbait around the ledges right next to the rock flats and got a good amount of bites. The water had dropped from 68° to 64°, it didn't stop raining all day and there was a really good northwest wind.

TechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium)SeasonFallStructureBouldersWent out on a week night to try and find some nice smallies. Water temps were around 65 degrees Fahrenheit and it was partially cloudy with no wind. We roamed the sand flats that were mixed with a good amount of rocks, close to the main source of current, or the river channel, and we found em!

TechniqueCarolina RigsSeasonFallStructureRock PileOvercast day, so we had in mind that the smallies wouldn't show themselves in the shallows. We drifted over rock piles in 25-15fow. A little bit shallower than we would drift in the summer. Water temps were around 63 degrees Farenheit with the warming trend we've had lately. It's been messing up the fall bite, but we still managed to find some good fish.

TechniqueUmbrella RigsSeasonFallStructureBouldersIt was my first time fishing an A-rig and it was a blast! cooler nights have come in and the water temps are dropping. You know what that means... smallies are munching ! Caught most of my fish right next to sand/rock flats in 5-10fow. Water temps were around 62 degrees. Small ripples on the water with high sun. Tough day, but still managed to catch some nice 4's.

TechniqueUmbrella RigsSeasonFallStructureRock PileCloudy, heavy winds and 55°F water temp. Peaky feeding day for smallmouth! Probably caught over 20lbs on the A-Rig. We were staging right before a point that led to a flat made of sand, grass and some boulders. Wind was blowing against the current and the waves were giant, but thank god for spot-lock! We released so many 3.5-4 pounders all day it was NUTS.
