Dropshots, tubes, and hair jigs have been producing but a hot bait for me has been a big ned trd in any baitfish color. The trick was to trim a half inch off inch off the ned trd if you can rig the bait to get it to spiral on the fall it looks a lot like the dying alewives. Most hits came on the spiraling fall.

Very good amount of fish on beds. A good number of big smallmouth are still hanging out shallow. I caught fish on the drop shot as well as a 3.3in swim-bait rigged on a ball head jig. Per usual you could mark fish by pilings but no takers. Most of the fish were group by laying down trees and logs but many were scattered in the boulders and gravel as well.

Long, blind casts on Boulder/sand flats in 6-10 fow. Saw tons of cruisers when it was flat calm and couldn’t get anything to go. The next morning there was a bit of wind and they were chomping!
