Was fishing one of the new Buckeye G-Man Buzzbait in 3/8oz with Storm Horny Toad frog in black. Caught 7 total, 6 smallmouth and one largemouth and lost another largemouth. None were big but the largemouth was just under 2lbs. Was a fun few hours on the water in the morning.

Using the new Riot Baits Revolt that was just released, fishing for both largemouth and smallmouth bass. Primary locations fishing were rip rap banks on bridges and off shore underwater structure. Fishing is tough, but if you can find the bait, you can usually find some fish. Yesterday, fishing Tellico, was able to find fish in a few different area's throwing the new Revolt Crankbait from Riot Baits. Shad colors are key, all the fish I caught the boat was in 10-20ft of water, casting to the shore and bringing the bait as close to parallel with the bank as possible while having it dive down the drop as you go. I was able to boat 4 out of the 6 bass doing this, 3 smallmouth, one that was 1.76lbs and then the 2.25lb came on an under water railroad bed from an old railroad bridge that was taken out years ago. Top of that was in 2ft of water, but the boat was sitting in anywhere from 8-25ft depending on where you were on the bed. I caught that larger smallmouth on a Picasso Vibrating jig, was the only fish that came on this yesterday, everything else was on the Revolt Crankbait. I've repeated this pattern a few times in the last 4weeks, yesterday produced the biggest fish so far. The key is finding the bait, either near the surface early in the morning or mid morning, or suspended bait about 7-10ft down. Deeper diving crankbaits would work too and I'll be trying those out next time I'm out.
